At Baptistcare we are passionate about offering hope to people living with disadvantage and distress.
BaptistCare (previously BCS) has been operating in Windale through its Food for Life store in South Street for several years now and has relocated once already in 2012 to accommodate a larger store site.
As a direct result of the wonderful support of the local Windale community, BaptistCare has now been able to lease the large store right next to our current shop (formerly the Pawn Broker) in which to establish a full sized grocery store. Our aim is to serve the local community with an expanded range of food.
Alongside our food support unit we also have 2 new exiting ventures happening in early 2014. Our new Community Centre will function as a place to simply drop in for tea, coffee and friendship. We are always happy to see you and everyone is welcome. Plus we will start a White Goods restoration business to support people struggling with unemployment to be skilled in electrical repairs.
We have felt very welcomed to the neighbourhood by Windale residents and look forward to continuing to assist the Community to grow however we can.
